Internet Measurements

About This Course

This course covers the basics of Internet measurements approaches and tools, and it consists of two lectures.

The first lecture covers passive measurements, especially flow-level measurements. You will also have the opportunity of understanding how Internet measurements are really used to do science, and see how things work in practice with flows.

The second lecture covers active measurements, describing tools and platforms used for that. You will also have the chance to play a bit with RIPE Atlas, the largest public measurement platform ever deployed in the Internet.
